Beyonce performing at MTV Video Music Awards

(CBS) Excited about the MTV Video Music Awards yet? No? Take a look at what's scheduled for the show Sunday and see if your heart doesn't go pitter-patter a little faster.

Beyonce has been added as a performer to the awards show. The singer will perform for the first since 2009, reports MTV. She has three nominations, including Best Female Video, for "Run the World (Girls)."

Other performers include Adele, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Young the Giant, Pitbull and Ne-Yo.

There's no official host for the VMAs this year. In 2010, Chelsea Handler hosted the award show. This year, Jessie J will be the house artist, reports MTV.

Presenters include big names in movies, television, music and reality TV. Taylor Lautner, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Will Ferrell, Nicki Minaj, Zoe Saldana, Kim Kardashian, Drake, Joe Jonas, Jared Leto, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Victoria Justice, Rick Ross, Odd Future and JB Smoove are all scheduled to appear, reports MTV.

The broadcast will air live on the east coast Sunday, Aug. 28, at 9 p.m. on MTV. Selena Gomez hosts a pre-show starting at 8 p.m.
