Beyonce debuts new short hairstyle

Whoa! Talk about a major hair makeover.

Beyonce has apparently parted ways with her long locks and is now sporting a new -- and much shorter -- hairstyle.

In a series of photos shared on Instagram, the singer posed with a blonde pixie cut.

There's no word on the reason for the cropped cut, but some have wondered if it was prompted by her hair getting caught in a stage fan during one of her concerts last month.

Beyonce wrapped the first leg of her "The Mrs. Carter Show" world tour in Brooklyn, N.Y., earlier this week. It picks up again next month with a series of dates in Brazil.
