Betty White joins Twitter
(CBS News) Betty White, who celebrated her 90th birthday this year, jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and created an account of her own this week.
The comedic actress posted her first tweet on Tuesday and racked up over 100,000 followers overnight.
"Hello Twitter! And they said it would never happen. Oh wait, that was me," tweeted the "Hot in Cleveland" star.
White joins the micro-blogging site one week after she premiered her hidden-camera reality series, "Off Their Rockers," on NBC.
She tweeted a promo for the new show and poked fun at TV personality Ryan Seacrest.
"My new show airs tomorrow and I hear we're in the same slot. I've always dreamed of sharing a night with you..."
