Bethenny Frankel talks divorce: "It's rough"

Bethenny Frankel is speaking out about her split from Jason Hoppy, admitting that she didn't expect divorce to be so hard.

"It's rough," the reality star/Skinnygirl mogul admitted during her Thursday appearance on "Good Day New York." "I have to say, divorce is the most difficult thing you could ever go through in your entire life."

Frankel and Hoppyannounced their separation last December. She filed for divorce in January.

"I never heard how excruciating it is," she told morning show anchor Greg Kelly.

When Kelly asked if her split from Hoppy was acrimonious, the 42-year-old replied, "It's just a brutal unnatural situation and you sort of end up in a situation you thought you'd never be in."

Frankel and Hoppy have one daughter, Bryn, and she says the 2-year-old is doing "amazing."

"Kids make you do things you'd never do," she said. "They bring out the best in you."
