Best Buy slashes price of iPhone 6s to $1 with contract
Just in time for last-minute holiday shoppers, Best Buy is slashing the price of the coveted Apple iPhone 6s. The 16GB model can be yours for just $1 if you sign up for a two-year contract with Sprint or Verizon.
The 16 GB iPhone 6s normally retails for $199.99. The $1 sale also applies to the 16GB iPhone 6, which regularly sells for $99.99.
Of course, the price of the contract does add up: Sprint's EasyPay option runs about $27 a month, or a total of $650 over two years.
The deal is good today through Sunday, Dec. 20, and is available both online and in stores, a Best Buy spokeswoman told CNET. Best Buy is also offering a $200 gift card if you trade in an iPhone 5 or newer model when you purchase the 6 or 6S.
There is no discount offered on the larger-sized iPhone 6s Plus, priced at $399.99 with contract.
The $1 offer applies to all four colors of the iPhone 6s: Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold. For the iPhone 6, Space Gray is the only color.
The iPhone deal is just the latest headline-grabbing holiday offer from Best Buy -- last week it announced a $100 price cut on the Apple Watch.
