If you're ready to buy a new appliance, here's a tip: Don't choose based on brand names, or looks.

Consumer Reports magazine's annual product reliability survey is out, showing which brands are most and least reliable, and the results may surprise you.

Mandy Walker, senior editor of the magazine, stopped by The Early Show Tuesday to report on what the survey shows.

For starters, she said, some of the pricier bands were actually among the most repair-prone.
