Ben Affleck takes Jennifer Garner's Vanity Fair interview in stride
Jennifer Garner may have Vanity Fair, but Ben Affleck has the New York Times.
The "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star opened up to the newspaper, discussing his split from Garner and her comments on the subject printed in Vanity Fair last month.
"It's fine. She's allowed to talk about it," Affleck said. "She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with so she could say, 'Look, I already talked about it -- I don't want to do it again.' "
As for how he and Garner are doing as divorcing spouses and co-parents, Affleck said, "Jen's great. She's a great person. We're on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that's the reality that I live in."
Affleck is also taking some high-profile jokes made at his expense in stride. When asked about Ricky Gervais' Golden Globes joke about him -- "[Matt Damon is] also the only person who Ben Affleck hasn't been unfaithful to" -- Affleck takes the high road.
"It's the way Ricky Gervais perceives me, I suppose. Whatever," Affleck said. "I've had jokes made at my expense before. It's part of the deal."
