Backflipping Trick Play Backfires on Team

Trick plays are entertaining - especially when pulled off by our nation's youth. The fans love them. And this week, the Internet is abuzz with them.

But apparently the referees have seen enough.

Check out the latest viral trick play, this one between Watauga High and St. Stephens in North Carolina, according to Yahoo Sports.

The placekicker lines up as a wide receiver during a two-point conversion attempt, then proceeds to "go in motion" by handspringing his way behind the offensive line.

The fans - and the announcers - seemed to love it. The refs? Not so much.

Not only did the team get penalized but the gymnastically talented player and his coach were ejected.
