Avril Lavigne receives 17-carat anniversary ring from Chad Kroeger
Avril Lavigne has some fancy new bling to flaunt.
The Canadian pop star received a 17-carat diamond ring from husband Chad Kroeger as a one-year anniversary gift.
"I still can't believe my 1 year anniversary gift. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby," Lavigne revealed on Twitter, along with a photo of the rock, which you can see here.
The new addition adds to Lavigne's growing jewelry collection. The Nickelback frontman proposed with a 14-carat engagement ring, and on the day of their wedding, he gave his bride a 20-carat emerald ring, reports People.
This is the first marriage for Kroeger, 39, and the second for Lavigne, 29. She filed for divorce in 2009 from Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley after three years of marriage.
Kroeger co-wrote and produced some of the songs on Lavigne's fifth studio album, released last fall. He also guests on the single, "Let Me Go," and appears in the accompanying video.
"I feel like he really believes in me. He's very encouraging and because he's also a singer and a performer I feel like he's different than your average producer and we can kind of tap into something different together because of that. There's a different type of understanding," Lavigne told CBS News.
