Ashley Tisdale is engaged

Ashley Tisdale may be getting ready to walk down the aisle soon.

The 28-year-old singer-actress is engaged to her musician boyfriend, Christopher French, according to reports, which reveal that French proposed on Thursday in New York City.

A source told Life & Style, "It happened on the 103rd floor at the top of the Empire State Building. It was totally romantic and Ashley's over the moon, of course."

Tisdale's happiness seems to be confirmed by the following tweet, posted after the proposal:

The couple went public with their relationship in December 2012.

Tisdale, who rose to fame in the "High School Musical" film series, is attached to the upcoming movie "Left Behind," co-starring Nicholas Cage and Chad Michael Murray.
