Ashley Judd's TV drama "Missing" debuts
(CBS News) Ashley Judd plays a single mom searching for her kidnapped son in "Missing," which made its debut on ABC Thursday night.
But, as you might expect, she's not just any mom - she's ex-CIA.
That's the premise of this midseason series: Judd plays Rebecca Winstone, a retired agent whose 18-year-old son (Nick Eversman) disappears while studying abroad in Rome.
Suspecting foul play, Rebecca snaps back into agent mode - this, despite retiring from the CIA 10 years ago after her husband (Sean Bean)'s death, and working in the interim as a florist . She heads to Europe to track down the missing Michael (hence, the show's title).
Created by screenwriter Greg Poirier ("National Treasure: Book of Secrets"), "Missing" follows the globe-trotting mom as she heads from city to city, relying on her CIA training and former colleagues for help.
