(CBS) Just a few hours after Brad Womack chose Emily Maynard on the season finale of "The Bachelor," one of the women he sent home earlier in the show was announced as the newest "Bachelorette."

That woman is Ashley Herbert, a 26-year-old dental student from Madawaska, Maine, who was one of the final three women on the show. Womack cast her off shortly before the season finale.

But, now it's her turn.

Herbert was revealed on last night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where host Jimmy Kimmel made her take the Bachelorette oath.

"Do you promise, on national television, to date 25 men simultaneously without complaining?" he asked. "Do you promise to make sure the hot tubs are clean and have enough chlorine and their bacteria levels are low?"

"I'll do my best with that," she promised.

Herbert told People magazine, "I feel like this season taught me so much about myself. It primed me for a new relationship. I'm ready to meet 25 new guys. Bring 'em on!"

"I'm open hearted and interested in meeting the guys," she added, "and hopefully fall in love."

Production for the new season of "The Bachelorette" is already under way. The season premiere is set for May 23 on ABC.
