Arrest made in the 2015 murder of Ohio teen Kelsie Crow
CINCINNATI --Cincinnati police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in a shooting a year ago that killed a 17-year-old girl and hurt two other teens when a fight broke out during a birthday party, reports CBS affiliate WKRC.
Rico Mosley, 19, has been arrested for the murder of 17-year-old Kelsie Crow, reports the station.
Mosley was arrested by the Cincinnati Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Police Homicide Unit has charged him with murder in the death of Kelsie along with two counts of felonious assault.
Crow was shot along with a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl when a fight broke out at the YMCA in the city's Walnut Hills neighborhood. Crow died two days later. The other two teens have recovered.
Officers said at the time that hundreds of teens were at the party and estimated that at least 50 shots were fired.
Uninvited guests started showing up but didn't get into the facility. When the sweet sixteen party broke up, bullets flew from three different directions. Teens ran for cover and Crow was hit in her car.
Crow was found shot in the driver's seat of a crashed vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
She died April 5, 2015. Court records on the new case listed no attorney for Mosley.
