Schwarzenegger told young people at the event, "Stay hungry," referencing the name of one of his early movies. He also described the museum as a "symbol of will," attesting to the fact that "everyone has a chance."

The museum officially opened in July, but the statue was unveiled by the former California governor on Oct. 7, 2011. The statue was bronzed in Idaho before being sent to Thal, the Guardian reports.

According to the Guardian, the museum features several of Schwarzenegger's personal items from his youth, including his first weight-training equipment. There are also several items and life-sized statutes of him as he was depicted in his movies and his documentary, "Pumping Iron." Visitors can also see a Harley Davidson motorbike from one of the "Terminator" films and a sword from "Conan the Barbarian," according to the BBC.
