Ariz. realtors bothered by man with foot fetish, report says

PHOENIX - Real estate agents are comfortable dealing in "square feet."

Then there's the guy in Arizona who is making some realtors very uncomfortable, because he just wants to rub their feet, according to CBS affiliate KPHO.

Several female realtors tell the station they have been contacted by a man with a foot fetish.

Phoenix-area realtor Carolyn Knight, with the Realty One Group, says nothing in her experience compares to this wannabe client.

"He asked me do I like my feet rubbed," Knight told KPHO. "That's when I said, 'This is getting strange here - we're not talking about houses any more.'"

In April, KPHO first reported on a man, who goes by the name Anthony, who was posing as a prospective home buyer, with no real interest in square feet; he wanted to know what kind of heels the women wear.

Now, he's at it again, reports the station.

An East Valley realtor received a text message Monday, believed to have been sent by Anthony.

"You wanna see my pic?" the text said. "I give great foot rubs."

According to a real estate forum on Facebook, dozens of realtors have been contacted over the past several months. So why haven't police stepped in to stop him?

Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson told the station it's not that simple, especially since texting someone about wanting to rub their feet isn't a crime.

"If those advances continue and that person begins to show up at a realtors or work place, or heaven forbid, show up at their house, then it becomes an issue that would be more of a criminal nature," said Thompson.

"My concern is that if he keeps continuing this behavior, is he going to be crazy enough to follow through and hurt somebody?," said Knight.

None of the realtors contacted so far has actually met with the suspected foot fetishist.
