Anne Hathaway's Valentino wedding dress sketch
Valentino is offering up a closer look at the wedding gown everyone is talking about. Anne Hathaway, 29, walked down the aisle in this "strapless ivory silk point d'esprit tulle dress" when she said her "I dos" to actor and longtime love Adam Shulman on Saturday night in Big Sur, California.
Love it or hate it, Hathaway's wedding getup is certainly unforgettable. The gown included a "pink hand painted shaded train" that was embroidered with satin flowers -- but it was the unusual headpiece paired with the Les Miserables actress' pixie haircut that really stood out. The veil consisted of a lace ribbon with a large flower adorned with small crystal beads.
Hathaway and Valentino Garavani have worked together in the past on a number of the actress' red-carpet looks. Given their history, it's no surprise that the renowned designer made the gown especially for her with the seamstresses at the couture atelier in Rome making the ensemble.
A rep of Valentino tells ETonline, "Anne is like a daughter to him."
