Anna Nicole Smith Saga To Hit TV
The Anna Nicole Smith saga is making its way to TV already.
A "ripped from the headlines" episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" airing in May is inspired by the ongoing drama generated by the pin-up, a rep for the show confirmed to The ShowBuzz.
Guest stars Kristy Swanson (the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") will play an Anna Nicole-esque character and funnyman David Cross ("Arrested Development") will portray a character much like Howard K. Stern.
Smith was found dead at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., on Feb 8. The Florida medical examiner plans to release the cause of her death in the next week.
The legal tangles of her life are still holed up in court. A lawyer for Larry Birkhead, one of the men who claims to be the father of Smith's daughter Dannielynn, asked a California judge to order Stern to provide his DNA for a paternity test.

Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, had wanted the Playboy model to be laid to rest in Texas with the rest of her family. Stern said Smith's wishes were to be buried with her son, Daniel, who died suddenly in September.
