Anna Kendrick to perform at the Oscars
Time to bring out the cups: Anna Kendrick is set to perform at the 87th Oscars.
"Excited to announce @TheAcademy has invited me to be part of a special performance at the #Oscars on Feb. 22nd!" the star posted to Twitter on Monday.
Academy Awards producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron confirmed Monday that the actress would be performing on stage during the show.
"Out of the woods and on to the Oscar stage, Anna will be performing something special that is sure to be an 'Only on the Oscars' moment." they said.
Kendrick was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting role in the 2009 film "Up in the Air." She also appeared in 2014's "Into the Woods", "Pitch Perfect" and the "Twilight" film series.
In 1998, at the age of 12, Kendrick was nominated for a Tony Award for best featured actress in a musical for "High Society." She is slated to star in "Pitch Perfect 2" later this year.
The Oscars, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will air on Sunday, Feb. 22, live on ABC.
