Andie MacDowell's daughter, Rainey Qualley, named Miss Golden Globe 2012

(CBS) Now that Award season is fast approaching, the Golden Globe's have announced who will be handing out the coveted statues to this year's winners. Andie MacDowell's daughter, Rainey Qualley, has been tapped as this Miss Golden Globe 2012.

The 21-year-old aspiring actress and singer will do the same job done in past years by Rumer Willis, Lorraine Broussard Nicholson and the daughters of many other actors and actresses. Gia Mantegna was last year's Miss Golden Globe.

"I would like to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for giving me this wonderful opportunity to serve as Miss Golden Globe 2012," Qualley told reporters gathered at Cecconi's in West Hollywood, reports People magazine. "I'm really looking forward to being a part of this year's awards presentation."

The Golden Globes are scheduled to air Jan. 15, 2012, and are set to be hosted by Ricky Gervais, host of last year's show.
