Tyson Schunk says investigators found the jacket in the apartment of the ex-wife of Anarae's former boyfriend. He says family members were told a knife connected to the case was found on the roof of the apartment building in St. Paul.
The Star Tribune says Burnsville police have told the Schunk family they believe Anarae is dead.
Volunteers searched fields, park land and other locations in Rosemount and Lilydale Sunday for the missing woman. The 20-year-old student has been missing since early Sept. 22 when she apparently left a bar in Burnsville with her ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend. The ex-boyfriend, Anthony Nelson, is charged with killing a man outside the bar that same day.
Nelson is being held on $2 million bail and police say he is not talking when it comes to the whereabouts of Anarae, reports CBS Minnesota.
