Amy Schumer heartbroken over "Trainwreck" Louisiana theater shooting
Amy Schumer says she's heartbroken in the wake of the deadly shooting that took place at a theater in Lafayette, Louisiana, on Thursday night, during a showing of her movie "Trainwreck."
A lone gunman sitting in a crowded movie theater stood up about 20 minutes into the film and began firing into the crowd, killing two people and wounding at least nine others Thursday before fatally shooting himself, authorities said.
"My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana," Schumer tweeted.
Schumer, 34, stars in Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck" alongside stars in Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck" alongside Bill Hader, Brie Larson and LeBron James.
Universal Pictures, the company behind "Trainwreck," released the following statement Friday: "All of us at Universal Pictures send our heartfelt sympathies to the victims of this senseless tragedy and their families in Louisiana."
