In a statement written by Anthony Joyner, whose sister Amy Joyner-Francis died last week after a fight in a bathroom of Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Delaware, the family asked supporters to "not fall victim to the scams going on around the internet."

Joyner stated that he is the only member of the family who uses social media and others, including the victim's mother, father, and other brothers, do not have accounts.

"All others will be fake," he said.

Joyner claimed that some people have gone as far as to misidentify themselves as Amy's sister. In the statement Joyner made it clear to supporters that she in fact does not have a sister. He also cautioned against contributing to any fundraisers or GoFundMe accounts.

"They are fake pages and accounts are spreading hateful lies, so please do not lose your money or entertain the lies of these cruel people," Joyner said.

A schools official says three students involved in the fight before Joyner-Francis' death have been suspended from school, officials says Wednesday. Authorities are expecting to file charges in the case soon.
