(CBS) "American Idol" finalist Casey Abrams, who was missing from last week's elimination episode, is now out of the hospital and says he's excited about tonight's show.

"I'm exited [sic] for tonight," he tweeted. "EVERYONE, I mean it, EVERYONE sounds incredible."

Abrams wrote Monday that he is out of the hospital, joking that he owed his recovery to "tiger blood."

He also set the record straight on his condition.

"Just to let every one know, I have ulcerative colitis," he wrote Wednesday. "I'm always going to have it, but the symptoms are pretty much under control."

A source told People magazine last week that Abrams was treated for the condition, which causes abdominal pain and cramping, at a Los Angeles hospital, where he received two blood transfusions.

He was also hospitalized in February for severe stomach pains, but was released in time to perform with the season's top 12 men.
