Authorities say the 22-year-old Whited had been missing since July 16, when she left her job at Golden Isles Harley-Davidson in Brunswick, Ga. around 11 a.m. for a lunch break.

The Brunswick News reports that her car was found the following afternoon with a flat tire along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Brunswick.

Her body was found July 21, about 15 miles from her car, by investigators who noticed what appeared to be a recently tamped foot path leading into some woods.

According to CBS affiliate WTOC, authorities say Raymond Michael Brasiel, 20, of Waynesville, is a suspect in Whited's death and will face charges. Police have not said whether there was any type of relationship between the suspect and Whited.

The station reports Brasiel is currently being held in the Glynn County Sheriff's Office and has already been charged in the July 19 stabbing death of a 50-year-old man identified as Bobby Jenks. He also is reportedly accused of assaulting Jenks' wife. She is recovering in a Savannah hospital.
