Amber Tamblyn and David Cross are engaged

(CBS) Amber Tamblyn and David Cross are engaged to be married.

The actress and the actor-comedian, who have been dating since 2009, reportedly kept the engagement under wraps for several weeks.

Tamblyn's rep confirmed the news on Wednesday.

The actress, 28, rose to fame due to her role in 2005's "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." Cross, 47, is best known for playing Tobias Funke in "Arrested Development." He currently stars in the TV series "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret."

This will be the first marriage for both.
