Amber Alert for Pa. teen reported abducted from home
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - State officials in Pennsylvania have issued an Amber Alert for a teen who police say was abducted from her home in Wilkes-Barre Thursday night, reports CBS Philadelphia.
Pennsylvania State Police say Jenea Patterson, 16, was taken from her home around 11 p.m. Police are naming the suspect as 21-year-old Walter Lewis. Authorities say he is believed to have a handgun and is considered armed and dangerous.
Jenea Patterson's mother reported that Lewis, of Wilkes-Barre, was waiting for Patterson when she arrived home about 11 p.m. Thursday, reported the Times-Tribune. He approached the vehicle Patterson arrived in wielding a firearm and ordered everyone out, according to the paper.
The girl recently filed a protection from abuse order against Lewis, reports the paper.
Officials say Patterson is a 16-year-old black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is five feet, four inches tall, 120 pounds and was wearing gray yoga pants and a multi-colored tee-shirt. Lewis is described as a 21-year-old black male, five feet, five inches tall, 130 pounds with black hair. He was wearing a gray and black hoodie.
Police say the two left the scene on foot but may be driving a red car.
