Amanda Bynes' psychiatric hold extended: Reports

Amanda Bynes isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

A judge on Thursday granted a request to have the actress' psychiatric hold extended for up to two weeks, E! News reports.

According to E!, Bynes' parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, asked her doctors to recommend to the judge that it was in her best interest to remain in the hospital.

TMZ reports that the parents also filed court documents Thursday requesting a conservatorship over their 27-year-old daughter. A court hearing is reportedly set for Friday.

Bynes was hospitalized for mental evaluation earlier this week after allegedly starting a fire in the driveway of a California home. Deputies responding to a 911 call at the home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., on Monday night determined that Bynes met the criteria for a mental health hold and took her into custody.

The former Nickelodeon actress has had several run-ins with the law. In December, she resolved a misdemeanor hit-and-run case after entering into a civil settlement with other drivers.

She was charged last fall with driving on a suspended license after it was temporarily taken away from her following two hit-and-run cases.

She also pleaded not guilty to drunken driving in a separate case.

Earlier this month, Bynes appeared in a New York court on allegations that she chucked a marijuana bong out the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment.
