Alan Cumming ties the knot with partner in America

(CBS) Alan Cumming and his partner Grant Shaffer got married again - this time in America. 

The two renewed their vows at a wedding ceremony in New York City Saturday, reports say.

The Scottish actor and Shaffer marked their five year anniversary with a marriage ceremony at New York's Soho Grand Hotel.

"On the 5th anniversary of our wedding in London grant and I tied the knot again in NYC!!!" tweeted Cumming, adding a picture of the two at the hotel bar.

In 2007, Cumming and Shaffer were married in London. That ceremony was attended by Geri Halliwell, Neve Campbell, Monica Lewinsky, Sir Ian McKellen and Rufus Wainwright, reports Us Weekly.

The "Good Wife" actor's next project is the animated film "The Lorax," featuring the voice talents of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms and Betty White.
