Akira: How does Keanu Reeves fit in?
(CBS) The last we heard of Keanu Reeves, he was talking about a possible third "Bill & Ted" film while promoting the recent "Henry's Crime." Now comes news that he may star in Albert Hughes' live-action version of "Akira."

The Hollywood Reporter states Reeves is in talks with Warner Bros. to play Kaneda, one of the two leads in the manga series. Kaneda heads a biker gang on a mission "to save his best friend from a medical experiment that threatens to unleash destructive powers," according to the report.
According to THR, Michael Fassbender, James Franco and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have been on the radar to take a lead in the film.
Warner Bros. and Reeves have a relationship. He appeared as Neo in the very successful "The Matrix" and its sequels.
