Adele on "25" release: "I am so overwhelmed and grateful"
Adele's long-awaited third studio album is finally out, and the British singer says she's both overwhelmed and grateful for it all.
"this feels like such a long time coming, my new album is finally out. i am overwhelmed and grateful to be able to even put another record out, and put it out how i want. the last month has been a whirlwind, its literally taken my breath away. i hope you enjoy the record as much as i enjoyed making it for you," the Grammy winner tweeted on Friday.
Adele unveiled the album's lead single, "Hello," in October to critical praise. She followed that up with "When We Were Young" this month. "25" marks Adele's first studio set since 2011's best-selling album, "21."
"My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record," she wrote. "I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven't got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to. What's done is done."
Adele's "25" is available for purchase at iTunes, along with other online retailers, including Amazon and Google Play. Sorry folks, it won't be streaming on Spotify, at least for now.
