ACM Awards show attracts biggest audience since 1998
The 50th Academy of Country Music Awards broadcast was a big win for CBS, attracting the largest audience since 1998, according to Nielsen's preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sunday.
The three-and-half-hour awards show, which featured many awards and even more performances, raked in early 16 million viewers.
Luke Bryan took home the fan-voted entertainer of the year, while Miranda Lambert took home multiple awards, including female vocalist of the year. Held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas, the 2015 ACMs featured performances by Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and more.
At the start of the show, co-hosts Blake Shelton and Bryan announced that this year's ACMs made a Guinness World Record for being the most attended live awards show of all time.
