ABC's aggressive fall schedule is complete with seven new TV series (three comedies and four dramas) and several familiar faces, including Ted Danson and Calista Flockhart who return to TV this season.

"Men In Trees"
(Fridays at 9 p.m.)
Actress Anne Heche returns to television (Pop question: which NBC soap did Heche get her start on in the late '80s? Answer: "Another World") in the new ABC ensemble drama "Men In Trees." She plays a writer who gets jilted by her fiancé and resolves to move to Alaska. It sounds like "Sex in the City" meets "Northern Exposure." Makes sense since the show was created by former "Sex in the City" writer-producer Jenny Bicks.

2"Six Degrees"
(Thursdays at 10 p.m.)
This is a show based on the theory that everyone is connected by no more than six people. From the producers of "Lost" and "Alias" comes this new drama about six strangers living in New York who are linked by mysterious coincidences. Laura (Hope Davis), a grieving single mother, begins the six degree chain. Next is Whitney (Bridget Moynahan), a successful woman who thinks her boyfriend is cheating on her, then Steven (Campbell Scott), an artist who believes he's lost his "eye." Damian (Dorian Missick) is haunted by his brother's shadow. Mae (Erika Christensen) is a girl hiding from her past. And Carlos (Jay Hernandez) the good guy who falls hard for a girl.

3"Brothers & Sisters"
(Sundays at 10 p.m.)
This series is about a group of troubled siblings who try to live up to their parents high expectations. The ensemble drama, which marks Calista Flockhart's return to television, follows members of the California-based clan as they face addiction and war trauma, among other things. Tom Skerritt plays William Walker, the Walker family patriarch, and Sally Field stars as Nora Holden, his opinionated wife.

"Help Me Help You"
(Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m.)
Ted Danson returns to TV in this new comedy as a psychotherapist who could be more of a head case than any of his eccentric patients. Danson plays Dr. Bill Hoffman, a group therapist who clearly has issues of his own that he needs to confront. Instead, he hides behind the success of his self-help books. "Malcolm in the Middle" alum Jane Kaczmarek pops up in the pilot.

4"Ugly Betty"
(Thursdays at 8 p.m.)
From executive producer Salma Hayek comes this new comedy about the cutthroat world of high fashion, and Betty Suarez's inability to fit into it. Suarez, played by America Ferrerra ("The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"), couldn't be more different from the stick-thin beauties in the industry, but she lands a job as a magazine mogul's assistant nevertheless. This square-peg city gal proves that looks are only skin deep and that hard work can pay off.

5"The Nine"
(Wednesdays at 10 p.m.)
A 52-hour hostage stand-off leaves two people dead and nine others connected forever. From the creator of "Without a Trace" and an executive producer of "The West Wing" comes this drama about the profound aftershocks of a bank robbery. Each episode of the series, which stars Tim Daly, Chi McBride and Scott Wolf, reveals another 10 minutes of the hostage crisis, clueing viewers in to the links between certain characters.

"The Knights of Prosperity"
(Tuesdays at 9 p.m.)
This comedy about a bunch of misfits who execute a robbery in order to finance their dreams, comes from the creators of the hit TV show "Ed." Donal Logue ("Grounded For Life") stars as Eugene Gurkin, a janitor who aspires to own a bar. A TV show stirs up a bright idea: to rob Mick Jagger blind. Eugene recruits a troupe of rookie thieves to pull off the heist but each of them ends up discovering a more socially responsible goal.
