Abandoned deaf puppy learns sign language
(CBS) - Now for a truly heartwarming story. Alice, an 8-week old Springer spaniel, was abandoned by a breeder for being deaf. She was discovered in an animal rescue shelter in Ireland by Marie Williams and Mark Morgan, who are deaf themselves. The video above shows their efforts to teach Alice sign language.
"We were thinking about getting a dog but when we saw Alice was deaf we just couldn't believe it," Williams told newslite.tv. "She was so beautiful and the fact that she was deaf just made us fall in love with her even more - we knew that she would fit right into our family."
We love happy endings at The Feed, and it's hard to imagine a better outcome than the loving home Alice has found. We wish her and her new family all the best.
