A Touch Of Class
Classical sounds from some classy young women echoed in The Saturday Early Show's Second Cup Café when the Eroica Trio kicked off a series showcasing Grammy-nominated artists.
Nominated for best chamber music performance, the Eroica Trio consists of Adela Pena on violin, Erika Nickrenz on piano and Sara Sant'Ambrogio on cello.
Much is made of their glamour and flair for fashion. But being easy on the eyes isn't always music to the ears of the critics. In this case, though, the most jaded critics have nothing but praise for the trio's artistry and skill, as evidenced by their recent Grammy nomination.
The group's name means heroic in Italian. Sant'Ambrogio said this is appropriate because "It's an heroic undertaking to make a career out of music."
When asked how they feel about critics mentioning the fact that they are attractive, Nickrenz said, "It's a compliment."
"It's the name of the game. People are listening but they're also watching," added Sant'Ambrogio.

The 42nd Annual Grammy Awards show will air on CBS on Feb. 23, live from Los Angeles.
