A Taste of America
"The Early Show on Saturday Morning" presented a holiday travelogue featuring the best Fourth of July foods from across the land. We called it "A Taste of America."
Viewers learned about the best places to get the most delicious holiday favorites.
We began with a look at taste buds. That's right -- taste buds! As in, how is it that one person's favorite food makes another person cringe? We took a look at taste buds to figure out what makes us partial to certain flavors and foods, and dislike others.

And what "Early Show on Saturday Morning" would be complete without a "Chef on a Shoestring"? To wrap up our tour, we turned to Cat Cora, the Food Network "Iron Chef" and Bon Appetit magazine executive chef, who harkened back to her childhood in Jackson, Miss. for some good, old-fashioned Southern comfort food!
