A bloodied Ryan Gosling on "Only God Forgives" movie poster

Ryan Gosling, who many have argued should have topped People's "Sexiest Man Alive" list, is now seen on the movie poster for his new film "Only God Forgives" looking beaten up and bruised.

The new film by Nicolas Winding Refn, with whom Gosling worked with on "Drive," follows a criminal who lives in Bangkok and runs a Thai boxing club.

In addition to Gosling, the film stars Oscar-nominated actress Kristin Scott Thomas.

The film is currently in post-production and set to be released sometime in 2013.
