HE SAID WHAT? "The Gulf of Mexico is a very big ocean. The amount of volume of oil and dispersant we are putting into it is tiny in relation to the total water volume."

OOPS! "Tiny" is relative, it turns out. The oil spill triggered by an explosion at the BP well site was the "worst environmental disaster the U.S. has ever faced," said White House energy advisor Carol Browner. Meanwhile, Hayward's repeated media gaffes made him an embarrassment to the energy giant, which announced in May that it was demoting him and shipping him off to Russia.
