11/11/11: A popular day to wed

(CBS) Maybe it's superstition, or just wishful thinking for a dose of good luck. Either way, Friday, Nov. 11 -- or 11/11/11 -- is one of the most popular to get married this year, according to TheKnot.com.

Nearly 25,000 couples are expected to exchange vows on Friday - a perfect palindrome day. And to compare, the number of registered weddings on the same Friday last year (11/12/10) was just 1,612.

Typically Friday weddings aren't as popular as Saturday events, and in many cases it's cheaper to hold a wedding on a Friday night.
