NASA releases photos of shuttle Endeavour and space station
NASA has released dramatic photographs of the shuttle Endeavour docked at the International Space Station that were shot by Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli during the departure of the Russian Soyuz TMA-20 spacecraft May 23.
The Soyuz departure was modified to give Nespoli a bird's eye view of the shuttle-station complex, a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity showing both spacecraft in the same field of view before the shuttle fleet is retired. Photos courtesy of NASA. Full resolution imagery is available here:
