Minneapolis Officer Jacob Spies receives department’s 1st Purple Heart
Nearly two weeks ago, police say officer Jacob Spies was shot in the back as he pursued a suspect in his unmarked police car. Today, the chief presented him with two awards, including the department’s first-ever Purple Heart.
