Police: Man Critically Injured In Uptown Hit-&-Run
Minneapolis police say a 39-year-old man was critically injured in an Uptown hit-and-run early Friday morning. According to police spokesman John Elder, at around 2 a.m., a man was on foot in the middle of the street near Lyndale Avenue and 26th Street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Lyndale. The victim was thrown into the air and landed "some distance" from where he was struck, Elder said.
