A man was found dead in a New Ulm alley Thursday morning, according to police. Officers were called to a residence on the 500 block of North Washington Street at about 7:20 a.m. A man was found partially clothed in an alley. Emergency crews tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A State Trooper's car was sideswiped in Nicollet County Friday evening. According to the incident report, around 8:14 p.m. Minnesota State trooper was stopped at a crash scene on the southbound shoulder of Highway 15 in new Ulm.
Volunteers have discovered the body of a New Ulm woman who had been missing for five days. The Mankato Free Press reports that 51-year-old Karen Schroeder left her home on foot Monday and wasn't seen again. The newspaper says the woman was reportedly dealing with unspecified health issues.
