Trucker Arrested In Minn. Accused Of Keeping Sex Slaves

Federal charges have been filed against a Utah trucker accused of keeping sex slaves in his semitrailer for months at a time. Authorities have accused 54-year-old Timothy Jay Vafeades of kidnapping a 19-year-old female relative in May, taking her across the country and sexually abusing her hundreds of times. Vafeades was arrested Nov. 26 in Clay County, Minn., by an officer who realized the teenager had a restraining order against Vafeades.

Video Released Of Rogers High-Speed, Wrong-Way Police Chase

Two men sit in the Sherburne County Jail charged with a brutal Elk River home invasion. But the biggest threat came as 40-year-old Aaron Martin and 31-year-old Ryan Woehler sent police on a high-speed chase, going the wrong way on Interstate 94 near Rogers last Thursday. Dozens of motorists and law enforcement officers were put at risk as the pursuit continued for nearly two miles. Authorities believed that the men had a kidnapping victim with them.

Man Pleads Guilty To Kidnapping Estranged Wife

A northern Minnesota man has pleaded guilty in federal court to kidnapping his estranged wife. Forty-two-year-old Timothy Glen Caskey of Virginia admitted that on July 14, 2011, he kidnapped his wife from Virginia, Minn., and took her across state lines against her will. Court documents say Caskey jumped out of a pickup truck, grabbed his wife, shoved her into the vehicle and struck two people who tried to help the woman. Caskey kidnapped his wife just hours after being released from jail for violating a protective order she had against him.

Police: Tip From Ex-Wife Led To Robbery Suspect

Authorities say a tip from an ex-wife pointed them to a Sartell man suspected in a string of armed robberies along Interstate 94 from the St. Cloud area to the Minneapolis suburbs. Police released a security video after a masked man robbed a Burger King in Maple Grove Wednesday. The ex-wife of 34-year-old Douglas Wayne Gravelle saw the video on the news and told police he wore the same clothes at a child support hearing. She said he's addicted to prescription drugs and unemployed.

Minn. Woman Rescued After Being Held Captive On Mississippi River Boat

A Minnesota woman is recovering at an Illinois hospital after being held captive on a boat on the Mississippi River for two weeks, according to authorities. According to KHQA-TV, the Adams County Sheriff's office received a phone call at 11 a.m. Friday about a boat that matched the description of one connected to a missing Minnesota woman. Authorities stopped the suspect boat in Quincy at Lock and Dam 21. After a brief standoff, the male suspect was taken in to custody.
