If you've driven through the Twin Cities lately, you've probably noticed some major construction projects -- and we're not talking road construction. Some large-scale buildings are in the works. Twin Cities Premium Outlets near Highway 13 and Highway 77 in Eagan is one of the projects. It's set to open in August, and has provided jobs to 400 construction workers.
Twin Cities shoppers who want to go to an outlet mall will soon no longer have to leave the seven-county metro to get there. Twin Cities Premium Outlets will open next month in Eagan. The $100 million center is near Highways 13 and Highway 77.
A state representative will look into changing Minnesota's good Samaritan law. The action comes on the heels of a WCCO story about Lauren Radziejewski. She is a nurse who felt like she paid a penalty for stopping to help after witnessing a car accident earlier this year.
A Good Samaritan witnessed a car accident and stopped to render aid. The accident happened along Highway 55 in Eagan, Minn. in late April. The woman who helped got a surprise a few weeks ago, a hefty bill, and she's now appealing to the state. "I sort of immediately sprang into action mode," Lauren Radziejewski said. Radziejewski said she didn't think twice about getting out of her car to help after seeing the accident.
An 18-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated robbery after police say she and two of her friends robbed a man who hired her for sex, according to a criminal complaint.
An Eagan elementary school is restricting access to its building after police warned the district that a man arrested in May outside of a Lakeville school was in the area. A former Eagan coach was cleared of six felony counts of theft by swindle in a Dakota County court Friday.
