Young Pianists Convene On Faribault For Contest
FARIBAULT, Minn. (AP) — Some sweet sounds will be coming from Faribault over the next week.
Several young pianists from as far away as China, Costa Rica and South Korea are prepared for a junior piano competition at Shattuck-St. Mary's School.
Thousands of dollars in cash prizes are on the line.
The competitors are as young as 14. The competition is being broadcast over the Internet, too. It runs from Friday through July 12.
