Woman Injured After Rollover Crash On I-35 Near Forest Lake
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person suffered serious injuries after a rollover crash on Interstate 35 near Forest Lake, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities responded to the crash at about 7:26 a.m. on Interstate 35W near County Road 21 in the area of Forest Lake. When authorities arrived, a 2000 Honda Civic was headed northbound on I-35W when it lost control, went into the ditch and rolled.
The victim, a 23-year-old Lino Lakes woman, had to be airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries. The northbound lanes of I-35W had to be closed as crews worked to rescue the woman and clear the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating what led up to the accident with assistance from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office and Lino Lakes Police.
