Wolves Open At Home For 13th Straight Year
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves will open the regular season at home for the 13th straight year. But they will not play San Antonio in Minnesota next season.
The Wolves announced their schedule on Tuesday. They will open the season on Oct. 30 against the Orlando Magic. But the Spurs will not come to Minnesota because the Timberwolves are the designated home team against San Antonio to be played in Mexico City on Dec. 4.
The Wolves will play 13 games on national television this season, with interest increasing thanks to a team that is predicted to contend for its first playoff berth since 2004.
Home highlights include a visit from Kevin Garnett and the Brooklyn Nets on Nov. 22, the Heat on Dec. 7 and the Lakers on March 28.
