Coronavirus In Wisconsin: Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers Issues 'Safer At Home' Order
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers' order to close all nonessential businesses takes effect at 8 Wednesday morning.
The "Safer At Home" order prohibits gatherings of any size and puts new restrictions on travel for the next month.
The "Safer At Home" order allows you to perform tasks essential to maintain your health and safety. That includes buying food and supplies necessary for staying at home. It also includes getting medicine, seeing a doctor, and taking care of a family member in another household. It's permitted, then, to take care of minors, dependents, vulnerable adults, and people with disabilities.

Grocery stores, hard ware stores, and health care will remain open to make sure essential needs are met. Though you won't need special permission to leave your house, you must comply with the order as to when it is permissible to leave your house.
Experts encourage limiting social interactions, especially gatherings with people of all ages That includes play dates, sleep overs, large family dinners, visitors, and nonessential workers coming into the home.
The order remains in effect until April 24th. Violation of the new order could result in a $250 fine, 30 days in jail, or both.
