Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Working On Memoir
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a possible contender for the presidency in 2016, is writing a memoir detailing the reforms he has introduced during his two years in office.
The Sentinel imprint of Penguin Group says "Unintimidated: A Governor's Story and a Nation's Challenge," is tentatively scheduled for release late this year.
The Republican has become a darling of the conservative right by taking a hard line against organized labor. Last year he stripped most public workers of nearly all their collective bargaining powers — a move that sparked mass protests at the state Capitol in Madison.
Sentinel said Tuesday that Walker is writing the book with Marc Thiessen, the former chief speechwriter for President George W. Bush.
Walker has said running for president in 2016 is "an option."
