Wis. Man, 45, Shot In Hunting Accident
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 45-year-old Wisconsin man suffered a gunshot wound to his lower waist area in a hunting accident Wednesday morning, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
The Sheriff's Department was notified at 7:58 a.m. of a hunter who was shot during a deer drive located in a farm field in Maiden Rock Township. When deputies arrived, they found the man lying on the ground with the gunshot wound. He has been identified as 45-year-old Tad Eggenberger of rural Ellsworth.
Emergency responders provided first aid until EMS arrived on scene. He was then airlifted to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries.
